Nairobi MCAs turn on Sakaja over collapsed Eastleigh building
Nairobi South MCA Chege Waithera alleged that some officers had been issuing building approvals without the legal authority to do so. She cited a 2023 appearance before the assembly’s planning committee, during which an assistant director reportedly said he had approved 600 buildings in Nairobi.
