Kisumu Woman Representative Ruth Odinga has remembered her late brother, former Prime Minister Raila Odinga, as a man who suffered for Kenya.
In her farewell remarks on Sunday, Ruth said that although many Kenyans did not appreciate his sacrifices, Raila continued to fight for the nation.
She said it was now time for him to rest after years of dedication to the country.
“My brother, rest. You suffered for Kenya, but Kenya never saw that. Son of Odinga, you suffered for Kenya. You died fighting for Kenya,” Ruth said.
She spoke during the final interment service for the late ODM leader.
