Two-time FIFA World Cup champions France will head into the 2026 World Cup with their bonuses doubled after a player negotiation with the federation, but their captain, Kylian Mbappé has requested that part of the bonus be shared with kit men, managers, and support staff.
According to France Magazine L' Equipe on Wednesday, it's reported that after securing qualification for the 2026 FIFA World Cup, Les Bleus players have successfully negotiated a doubling of their bonuses, and captain Kylian Mbappé also wants the support staff to have a share.
Reports from the 1998 and 2018 champions now state that for every match, France players will receive a €21,000 image-rights bonus as compensation for participating in commercial activities with partners.
However, following the crucial clash against Ukraine, that figure reportedly rose to around €42,000 per player - covering starters, substitutes, and even members of the coaching staff.
The increase has been approved by French Football Federation president Philippe Diallo, marking a new financial commitment from the federation.
