The Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) has officially gazetted the winners of the November 27, 2025, by-elections, paving the way for their swearing-in next week.
The results were published in a special issue of the Kenya Gazette dated December 1, 2025 and signed by IEBC Chairperson Erastus Ethekon.

In Nairobi’s Embakasi North Constituency, DCP’s David Wanyoike Warui was declared winner of the Kariobangi North Ward seat with 2,282 votes.
The gazettement now clears the way for the elected leaders to be sworn in on Tuesday, allowing them to formally assume office and begin representing their respective jurisdictions.
The by-elections followed vacancies triggered by a mix of resignations, deaths, and nullifications.
IEBC noted that all processes were conducted in accordance with the Constitution, the Elections Act, and the Elections (General) Regulations.
“The Commission declares that the persons listed were elected … having received the majority of votes cast and complied with the law,” the notice states.
