Kenya Airways has announced a new codeshare agreement with Qatar Airways set to begin on October 26, 2025, in a move expected to significantly enhance connectivity across Africa, the Middle East, and Asia.
The partnership will allow Kenya Airways customers to access 11 international destinations via Doha, while Qatar Airways passengers will connect to 8 African cities through Nairobi.
The collaboration also comes with Qatar Airways’ introduction of a new third daily flight between Doha and Nairobi, further strengthening air links between the two regions.
In a statement released on October 20,2025, Kenya Airways said, “We’re excited to announce that starting 26 October 2025, Kenya Airways and Qatar Airways begin codeshare flights to 19 destinations, expanding connectivity between Africa, the Middle East, and Asia.”
According to the airline, the new partnership underscores its commitment to providing seamless travel experiences and broader access to global destinations.
“Our customers can now access 11 global destinations via Doha, while Qatar Airways passengers will connect to 8 African cities through Nairobi, supported by Qatar Airways’ new third daily flight between Doha and Nairobi,” the statement added.
The codeshare agreement is expected to open up new opportunities for trade, tourism, and cultural exchange by providing smoother connections and shorter travel times for passengers traveling between Africa and the rest of the world.
The partnership is a strategic move that strengthens Kenya Airways’ global footprint while reinforcing Qatar Airways’ presence in the African market.
The deal also reflects a growing trend among international airlines to collaborate and expand route networks through shared flights rather than direct competition.
Kenya Airways continues to position itself as a key aviation hub in the region, leveraging Nairobi’s strategic location to connect Africa with the world.
The new codeshare with Qatar Airways is part of the airline’s broader strategy to enhance global partnerships, improve customer experience, and boost efficiency in international travel.
The expanded cooperation is expected to benefit thousands of passengers by offering more flight options, competitive fares, and smoother travel connections starting October 26, 2025.
