Wiper Party Leader Kalonzo Musyoka has issued a firm warning to Kitui County Assembly members who have aligned themselves with the United Democratic Alliance, accusing them of sidelining local interests.

Speaking at a public ceremony on Saturday, Kalonzo said any leader ignoring the people’s voice risks being removed from the political scene.

“You are either with us or against us. I’m watching all of you. If you are not on our side, you will be swept away. Read the mood of the people," he declared, sending a clear message to dissenting voices in his home region.

The Wiper leader was at the event to officiate the renaming of Kyuso Girls to Mama Pauline Kalonzo Girls School. He criticized local leaders supporting the government, arguing that their priorities are misaligned with the needs of Kitui residents.

Kalonzo also highlighted frustrations with national policies, saying the current administration’s heavy taxation and slow implementation of projects have hurt citizens. He expressed confidence that Kenyans in the diaspora would support the United Opposition in upcoming elections.

“Anyone earning a salary here is surrendering nearly half of it in taxes. Even this road has delayed, and the one he promised here must be delivered urgently," he added, pointing to stalled local infrastructure.

Meanwhile, former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua has intensified his campaign in Narok County, appealing to the Maa community to back the United Opposition.

He argued that unity is essential for achieving development goals and restoring the community’s voice in national politics.

“This is your party for forming the next government. I’m calling on all Maasai from Laikipia, Laisamis, Kajiado and beyond, this is your vehicle for change," Gachagua said, rallying residents to support his presidential bid.

He accused Narok leaders allied to President William Ruto of prioritizing political loyalty over addressing the needs of the region. Gachagua promised to improve roads and boost support for livestock and hides to reduce losses for farmers.

“We’ve discussed roads and I will deliver. We will also prioritize livestock and hides and skins so our farmers do not incur losses," he stated during the homecoming event for DCP Deputy Secretary General Martin Ole Kamwaro, which drew widespread participation from local leaders and residents.
