TikTok has stepped up its efforts to maintain a safe and positive space for its users in Kenya, removing more than 580,000 videos in the third quarter of 2025 for violating its Community Guidelines.

The data, revealed in the platform’s Q3 2025 Community Guidelines Enforcement Report, highlights the social media giant’s proactive approach to content moderation and user safety.

Of the videos removed in Kenya, 99.7% were taken down before any user reports, and 94.6% were removed within 24 hours of being posted.

During the same period, about 90,000 Live sessions were interrupted for not adhering to content rules, representing roughly 1% of all LIVE streams on the platform.

On a global scale, TikTok removed a total of 204,534,932 videos in the third quarter of 2025, accounting for about 0.7% of all content uploaded worldwide.

Of these, 99.3% were removed proactively, while 94.8% were taken down within the first 24 hours. The platform reported that automated systems were behind 91% of these removals, demonstrating the growing role of artificial intelligence in maintaining consistent and rapid content enforcement.

TikTok also focused on protecting its user base by removing more than 118 million fake accounts and over 22 million accounts suspected of being operated by children under the age of 13.

“Through our continued investment in AI moderation technologies, a record 91% of this violative content is now removed via automated technologies, ensuring consistency and speed,” the report noted.

By combining advanced automated moderation tools with the work of thousands of trust and safety professionals, TikTok aims to enforce its Community Guidelines quickly and fairly.

The platform’s approach covers a broad range of harmful content, including misinformation, hate speech, and other violations, emphasizing its commitment to the safety of its global community.

In addition, TikTok has introduced features to promote digital well-being. In November, the platform launched a new Time and Well-being space designed to help users relax and develop healthier online habits.

Four new Well-being Missions were also rolled out, providing fun, short activities aimed at helping users, especially teens, engage with technology more thoughtfully and confidently.

The regular publication of the Community Guidelines Enforcement Report offers a detailed look into TikTok’s actions, reflecting the platform’s dedication to transparency and accountability.
