The DP team accused Kiruga of wearing United Democratic Alliance (UDA) party colours inside the polling station, which they described as an unlawful act.

Tension erupted on Thursday morning at Siakago Social Hall in Mbeere North when Democratic Party (DP) leader Justin Muturi and his team confronted Thuku Kiruga, an agent linked to Leonard Wa Muthende.

The DP team accused Kiruga of wearing United Democratic Alliance (UDA) party colors inside the polling station, which they described as an unlawful act.

Videos circulating on social media show Muturi and his team forcing Kiruga out of the hall. In the footage, a voice is heard saying, "We have people wearing party colors and bribing people."

A speaker added, "We urge the Ministry to act immediately and protect the integrity of the election."

Residents who accompanied the former attorney general stated that the individual was also spotted trying to persuade voters to vote for the UDA candidate.

Muturi, addressing the press after the altercation, said, "We have told him you cannot come to the polling when you're donning party colors. If he is an authorised agent or an observer, we have told him to get out."

"We raised the matter with IEBC, but they are meek and doing nothing. The presiding officer is behaving like a cow."

The flown man, who is a Member of the County Assembly (MCA) for Chinga ward in Nyeri County, Thuku Kiruga, said that he was just in his usual yellow clothes.

"I'm just being peaceful; the former AG was very rough on bylaws. He has pinched me so hard, but I leave him to God, but that's not the way to win an election. We must tame fear." Thuku Kiruga said.

Thuku denied claims of bribery, saying he follows electoral laws. "Where is the evidence? That's a pure lie; all these people were here. How can I dish out bribes openly? Where is even one person who received the bribe? I cannot be that low because I know the electoral laws."

Mathira MP Eric Wamumbi, speaking in Siakago, accused the former CS of blocking voters, saying that Justin Muturi was blocking voters from entering the polling station to exercise their constitutional duties.

"I told him (Justin Muturi) to vacate the area, and he has finally left, even if this is his area. He was here to intimidate people because he was the speaker and the CS, but we've secured the area, and people are on with voting." Wamumbi claims.

Elsewhere in Kasipul, videos have surfaced showing Homa Bay Town MP Peter Kaluma and his bodyguard sustaining injuries after being attacked during the by-election. It has also been claimed that the bodyguard’s gun is missing, although authorities have not confirmed this report.
