In Summary

Football Kenya Federation and Mozzart Bet Kenya have signed a three-year KSh 90 million deal in Nairobi to sponsor the 2026 Mozzart Bet Cup, boosting prize money, visibility and stability for 64 clubs.

Nairobi, January 30 2026 — In a show of ambition and investment, the Football Kenya Federation and Mozzart Bet Kenya Limited sealed a three‑year sponsorship worth KSh 90 million, officially kicking off the 2026 Mozzart Bet Cup. The agreement commits KSh 30 million per year from 2026 to 2028, cementing Mozzart Bet’s role as title sponsor and signalling a fresh era for Kenya’s premier domestic knockout competition.

Deal Details

The new partnership is more than a cheque — it’s a strategic boost for the domestic game. The annual KSh 30 million injection will fund tournament operations, marketing, and enhanced prize money, while raising the profile of clubs across the country. The sponsorship runs through the 2028 season, giving the Cup stability and a platform for growth.

FKF Reaction

FKF President Hussein Mohammed hailed the renewal as transformational. “This partnership is not just about sponsorship; it is about building a stronger, more competitive and more credible football ecosystem in Kenya,” Mohammed said. He stressed that the Mozzart Bet Cup has evolved into a truly national competition that offers every club a fair shot, and that the new funding will deliver better organisation, greater visibility, and tangible financial support for teams.

Mozzart Bet Perspective

Rolex Sirma, Director at Mozzart Bet Kenya Limited, framed the increased investment as a vote of confidence in Kenyan football. Sirma pointed to the tournament’s power to change lives, create opportunities, and produce unforgettable stories — and said Mozzart Bet is excited to help write the next chapter.“We are proud to extend our partnership with the Mozzart Bet Cup for another three years with an enhanced sponsorship package worth KSh 90 million. This increase is a statement of confidence in Kenyan football, in the clubs, and in the leadership of FKF. We have seen how this tournament changes lives, creates opportunities and produces unforgettable stories, and we are excited to be part of its next chapter,” He said.

What’s New for 2026

The sponsorship brings fresh incentives to the competition. Highlights include:

• Individual cash awards for standout performers.

• An improved prize structure for participating teams to deepen competition and reward excellence.

• Enhanced media and promotional support to amplify the Cup’s reach nationwide.

These changes aim to sharpen the tournament’s competitive edge and spotlight emerging talent from across Kenya.

Tournament Format and Key Dates

The Mozzart Bet Cup will feature 64 teams — 15 from the top league and 47 from lower tiers — promising David‑versus‑Goliath matchups and giant‑killing drama. The Round of 64 draw was held at the launch, setting the stage for the opening fixtures on 7 and 8 February 2026. The competition will build toward a grand finale scheduled for 17 June 2026.

This renewed partnership signals a bold investment in the domestic game: more money, more recognition, and more reasons for fans to tune in as the Mozzart Bet Cup returns with renewed sparkle and higher stakes.
