Kenyatta University Teaching, Referral and Research Hospital (KUTRRH) has dismissed allegations circulating in the public domain claiming that job seekers are being asked to pay money in exchange for employment opportunities at the facility.
In a public notice issued by the hospital on Wednesday, KUTRRH said it had become aware of statements alleging requests for payment linked to recruitment and employment at the national referral hospital.
The management moved to clarify that it does not charge, request, authorise, or approve any form of payment or inducement in relation to recruitment or employment.
“KUTRRH clarifies that it does not charge, request, authorise, or approve any form of payment or inducement in relation to recruitment or employment,” the notice reads.
The hospital emphasised that all recruitment processes are conducted strictly in line with applicable laws, public service regulations, and established institutional policies.
The hospital further disclosed that it has initiated internal review processes to assess the issues raised.
According to the notice, should any conduct inconsistent with policy or the law be established, appropriate administrative and legal action will be taken in accordance with due process. This may include engagement with relevant authorities where necessary.
The development comes amid growing public concern over alleged recruitment scams targeting job seekers in public institutions.
KUTRRH urged members of the public to remain vigilant and to engage only through the hospital’s official recruitment channels.
“Members of the public are advised to exercise caution and to engage only through KUTRRH’s official recruitment channels,” KUTRRH Chief Executive Officer Dr. Zeinab Gura stated.
She reiterated the hospital’s zero-tolerance position on corruption and irregular recruitment practices.
The facility also encouraged anyone with information relating to suspected misconduct or misrepresentation to report the matter through its official website, the Office of the Chief Executive Officer, or other appropriate authorities.
The notice provided a dedicated reporting link on the hospital’s website for members of the public to submit information related to suspected corruption or unethical conduct.
Reaffirming its stance, KUTRRH said it remains committed to lawful, transparent, and ethical governance and will continue to cooperate with any lawful inquiries.
The hospital underscored that integrity in recruitment and service delivery remains a core institutional value.
