The Azimio TV crew has paid an emotional tribute to the late former Prime Minister Raila Amolo Odinga, describing their years of service under his leadership as both an honour and destiny.

In a heartfelt message to the late former Prime Minister and his family, the crew said they were deeply moved to have documented the life and political journey of a man they described as a symbol of courage, justice, and democracy.

“From the vigorous campaign trails, reform protests, life-threatening maandamano, and to the grand stages of the journey to democracy, our lenses and hearts bore witness to your unwavering courage and your boundless love for Kenya,” the crew said.

“Serving you was not just duty — it was destiny,” the crew stated as they paid their last respects, reflecting on their years of covering Raila’s political and reform struggles.

They expressed gratitude to the Odinga family for their strength, grace, and generosity in allowing them to tell Raila’s story, and to the ODM Party leadership and National Secretariat for trusting them to document the journey.

The crew also acknowledged the contribution of Team KDD, describing it as the heartbeat of every mission and saluting its dedication and energy throughout Raila’s public life.

Addressing their supporters and viewers, the team extended special thanks for standing with them and believing in their mission to tell Raila’s story.

“You are part of this legacy,” they said.

In their message, the Azimio TV crew also thanked President William Samoei Ruto for the respect, acknowledgment, and the honor accorded to Baba as a statesman who shaped Kenya’s democratic journey.

Reaffirming their dedication to preserving Raila Odinga’s memory, the crew vowed to continue sharing his ideals and vision for a just and united Kenya.

“The Azimio TV Crew solemnly reaffirms its commitment to continue telling the story of Raila Odinga’s enduring legacy — his ideals, his dreams, and his indomitable belief in a better Kenya for all,” the statement said.

They concluded their tribute with a message of farewell and continuity: “Rest in Power, Baba. Your story lives on through us.”

The Azimio TV team has been a key part of Raila Odinga’s communication network, documenting his political activities and reform campaigns over the years, and now pledges to preserve his legacy for future generations.
