DAP-K dismissed the document as a deliberate attempt to mislead the public. The party said the claims were built around lies and included a forged signature that was attributed to Seth Panyako, whom the letter described as acting secretary general. The party insisted that no such discussions or resolutions had taken place.

Confusion spread across social media after a letter surfaced claiming that Democratic Action Party of Kenya leader Eugene Wamalwa had been kicked out of the party, prompting a swift rebuttal from the party’s top officials.

DAP-K said the message was nothing more than a fake document crafted to stir tension and give the false impression that the party had undergone sudden leadership changes.

The letter, which attracted attention online, stated that the National Executive Committee had gathered for an urgent meeting where it allegedly resolved to strip Wamalwa of his position. It went further to claim that Trans Nzoia Governor George Natembeya had been appointed the new party leader, while Ayub Savula had been selected as deputy party leader.

DAP-K dismissed the document as a deliberate attempt to mislead the public. The party said the claims were built around lies and included a forged signature that was attributed to Seth Panyako, whom the letter described as acting secretary general. The party insisted that no such discussions or resolutions had taken place.

An earlier photograph showing Wamalwa and Natembeya at a public event resurfaced online as the fake document continued to circulate, though the party clarified the image had nothing to do with the claims being spread.

The party emphasised that its leadership remains unchanged and urged supporters to rely only on verified communication channels whenever matters touching on internal affairs arise. It accused those behind the document of trying to bring unrest into the party and create confusion ahead of important political activities it is preparing for.

Natembeya forcefully rejected the information in the same circulation, saying the letter was part of a wider ploy by political rivals. He said those pushing it were working to interfere with the Malava parliamentary contest, where the party is heavily invested.

"This letter is being circulated by UDA members who already know we are on the verge of winning the Malava seat. It is a calculated attempt to create confusion and distract our people. Ignore it in its entirety," Natembeya claimed.

He added, "Stay focused, we are firmly on course, and we are winning the Malava seat. Malava is a one-people constituency; it is a win for Seth Panyako."
