President William Ruto spent his Saturday in Garissa, visiting Masalani in Ijara Subcounty.
He arrived at 11:04 am and was welcomed by Interior Cabinet Secretary Kipchumba Murkomen, Garissa Governor Nathif Jama Adam, and National Intelligence Service (NIS) chief Noordin Haji.

Other leaders presented included Speaker of the National Assembly Moses Wetang'ula, Cabinet Secretary for Health Aden Duale, Garissa Senator Haji Abdul, and his Narok counterpart, Olekina Ledama, ODM Party leader Oburu Odinga, among other leaders.
The President launched several projects, including the groundbreaking of the Masalani Affordable Housing project and the commissioning of the Masalani water project.
Ruto also visited the Yusuf Haji Girls Secondary School, where he officially launched the school that has been refurbished.
Later in the afternoon, Ruto is to attend the wedding nikah ceremony of the son of NIS boss Noordin Haji.
