The Kenya Universities and Colleges Central Placement Service (KUCCPS) has opened applications for placement to the Kenya Medical Training College (KMTC) for the March 2026 intake, giving prospective students a three-week window to apply.
In a notice issued on Tuesday, KUCCPS announced that the application period runs from January 7 to January 27, 2026, and targets candidates seeking diploma and certificate programmes in medical and health-related fields.
Applicants are required to submit their choices through the KUCCPS online portal.
“Application for placement to Kenya Medical Training College, March 2026 intake, is now open,” KUCCPS said in the update.
“Log in to the KUCCPS System to view available programmes and apply.”
According to the placement body, the current window offers more than 21,000 slots spread across 98 KMTC campuses nationwide, reflecting continued demand for health training as the country seeks to strengthen its healthcare workforce.
The March 2026 KMTC intake is expected to attract thousands of applicants amid sustained interest in health-related careers.
The slots cover a range of diploma and certificate courses offered by KMTC, which remains one of the largest trainers of middle-level health professionals in the region.
KUCCPS urged eligible candidates to review programme requirements carefully before applying and to submit their applications within the stipulated timeframe to avoid last-minute challenges.
The agency also reminded applicants that all applications must be made exclusively through its official system.
“The window runs from January 7 to 27,” KUCCPS said, underscoring that late applications will not be considered once the portal closes.
Prospective students can access the application portal by logging into the KUCCPS system at http://students.kuccps.ac.ke, where they can view available programmes, check minimum entry requirements, and submit their applications.
KUCCPS coordinates the placement of government-sponsored students to universities and colleges across the country, including national polytechnics, technical institutions, and medical training colleges.
