In Summary

In this case, he argues that the judges reached the wrong decision and wants the tribunal to declare him the winner.

Mbavu the Destroyer has moved to the Sports Disputes Tribunal (SDT) seeking to overturn the outcome of their so-called “street fight” on April 4, 2026.

In this case, he argues that the judges reached the wrong decision and wants the tribunal to declare him the winner. He is also seeking the full winner’s package: a Sh3.5 million cash payout, a Toyota Voxy valued at Sh4 million, a Taro GP1 sport bike, and the championship belt.

In the alternative, he wants the Tribunal to order a rematch.

Mbavu has sued Majembe and event promoter Oga Obinna, and has also listed the Kenya Professional Boxing Commission (KPBC) as an interested party.

The SDT has certified the matter as urgent and directed that it be mentioned on April 15, 2026, when the Tribunal is expected to give further directions after receiving responses to the claim.

The match saw Majembe dominate early, scoring 30 points against Mbavu’s 27 in both Round 1 and Round 2, establishing a clear lead.

The fight took a dramatic turn in Round 3 after a knock to the vital area, with Majembe still extending his lead to 32 points against Mbavu’s 27.

The incident appeared to unsettle Mbavu, shifting momentum and sparking debate among spectators.

In Round 4, Mbavu raised a fault claim over the incident, arguing that the blow was unfair. However, referees reviewed the situation and ultimately upheld the result, declaring Majembe the winner based on his consistent performance and points advantage across all rounds.
