Kenyans are set to spend less at the pump following a drop in fuel prices announced by the Energy and Petroleum Regulatory Authority (EPRA) on Saturday, February 14. The reduction comes after careful calculations by the regulator and will take effect from Sunday, February 15, running through to March 14.
EPRA revealed that petrol will now sell at Sh178.28 per litre, a decrease of Sh4.24 from the previous rate. Diesel will go for Sh166.54, down by Sh3.93, while kerosene is set at Sh152.78, a Sh1.00 drop.
The authority emphasized that the prices already include the 16 per cent Value Added Tax (VAT) as required by the Finance Act 2023 and the Tax Laws (Amendment) Act 2024.
