Several European airlines have suspended flights to key cities in the Middle East as tensions involving Iran continue to rise, leading to growing concerns over safety in the region’s airspace.

Air France said it would temporarily stop its service to Dubai as it closely watches the unfolding situation. The airline confirmed the decision in a statement, noting that it was taking precautionary steps amid the uncertainty in the region.

“Due to the current situation in the Middle East, the company has decided to temporarily suspend its service to Dubai,” Air France told the AFP news agency on Friday.

Dutch airline KLM has also halted flights to several destinations in the Middle East until further notice.

The airline said it would stop flying to cities in Israel, the United Arab Emirates and Saudi Arabia, and would avoid flying through the airspace of several countries in the region, including Iraq and Iran.

The suspension of flights comes as airlines reassess risks linked to the rising tensions, with safety concerns affecting both passenger routes and regional airspace operations. Airlines are monitoring the situation and may adjust their schedules further depending on how events unfold.
