After earning promotion back to the Kenya Cup last week, Mwamba Rugby Football Club has secured a major boost, signing a three-year sponsorship deal worth Sh9 million with Dignity Furniture.
Speaking in Nairobi on Thursday during the unveiling of the partnership, Club Chairman Edwin Waita said the agreement comes at a crucial time as the team prepares for life in the top tier. Under the deal, Dignity Furniture will contribute Sh3 million annually for three seasons, with an option to renew upon expiry.
“This sponsorship comes at a crucial time for the club as we return to the Kenya Cup. It reflects the belief Dignity Furniture has in our vision, our players, and our long-term ambitions. We are excited to build a strong relationship that will help us compete at the highest level,” said Waita.

Mwamba secured promotion after a 41-26 victory over Catholic Monks Rugby last Saturday, April 18, 2026, marking a return to the top flight after just one season in the lower division.
The club, under former Kenya Sevens head coach Paul Murunga—who joined last May after leaving Kenya Harlequin—has shown strong progress. Murunga previously guided Harlequin to back-to-back Kenya Cup semi-final appearances in 2023 and 2024, and also led them to win the National Sevens Circuit in 2024.
The new partnership is expected to strengthen Mwamba’s preparations as they aim to re-establish themselves at the top level of Kenyan rugby in both the 15s and 7s formats.
