Kenya Pipeline Company (KPC) have won a bronze medal during the ongoing CAVB women club Championships in at the Al Ahyl Sports Complex in Cairo with a hard-fought 3–1 win over Club Féminin de Carthage (CFC) of Tunisia, in an entertaining third-place playoff clash.
In the match played on Thursday, the Geoffrey Omondi-coached outfit started strongly, asserting control early in the opening set with sharp attacking play and disciplined defense to claim it 25–17, but CFC responded with resilience in the second set, tightening their block and capitalizing on KPC’s errors to level the match at 1–1 with a 25–17 win of their own.
The third set proved to be the turning point of the contest, with both sides battling intensely in a tense and closely contested affair, exchanging points in a dramatic back-and-forth, Kenya's side hlding their nerve against Tunisia's giants, at the crucial moments, edging the set 26–24 to regain the lead.

With momentum on their side, the KPC carried their confidence into the fourth set. Despite another spirited effort from Carthage, they maintained composure and control, closing out the match 25–21 to seal a deserved 3–1 victory.
The win sees Kenya Pipeline finish third, capping off a strong tournament campaign with a podium finish, while CFC are left to rue missed opportunities after pushing their opponents in a competitive encounter, with all eyes now shifted to Friday where another Kenyan side Kenya Commerical Bank (KCB) is set to win their only third continental title against host club Al Ahyl, who are chasing their 11th.
