Ojwang, who was initially arrested in Homa Bay before being transferred to Nairobi, died under circumstances the police described as suicide.
LSK President Faith Odhiambo demanded a swift and thorough investigation into Ojwang’s death, insisting that those responsible be held accountable.
The probe as highlighted by IPOA boss Issack Hassan, is being conducted under a legal mandate that allows the Authority to investigate deaths and serious injuries caused by police.
Justice Margaret Waringa Muigai had been expected to deliver the ruling on June 4, 2025, but adjourned the matter to June 10, citing the need to ensure all parties receive essential documents.
