The clearance, which allows 80 percent stadium capacity, is a boost from the 27,000 fans admitted during Harambee Stars’ 1-0 win over Zambia
The new additions are Ruiru, Camp Toyoyo in Dagoretti, and Babadogo.
To expand access, the government, through FKF and the Local Organizing Committee (LOC), has increased official fan zones from 10 to 13, giving more Kenyans the chance to support the national team.
Sports Cabinet Secretary Salim Mvurya said six official fan zones have been established in Nairobi to curb overcrowding at Kasarani.
The CAF Disciplinary Board found that Kenya, through the Football Kenya Federation (FKF), failed to meet safety and crowd control standards required for international matches
CAF’s disciplinary and safety committees have opened investigations and will decide on further action.
The affected estates include Kilimani, Kileleshwa, Lavington, Karen, Lang’ata, Kasarani, Embakasi, Kabete, Roysambu and Westlands.
