Despite the growing speculation, Sakaja maintained that he has not formally announced his exit from UDA. He said he will consider the position of his supporters, whom he described as central to any decision he makes.

His departure follows a 55-day political consultation exercise at his Wamunyoro residence in Nyeri, where he received delegations of political leaders, grassroots representatives, professionals and other groups as he sought views on Kenya's political direction and the 2027 election

He also sought to ease concerns over historical political tensions between communities from Mt Kenya and Nyanza, particularly the Luo, saying there was no conflict between the two sides
Framing the next poll as a make-or-break moment for the country, Gachagua said a fragmented opposition would “hand Ruto victory by default” and betray Kenyans seeking change.
In a statement on Monday, Super Metro said the clarification followed claims on social media that its buses had transported people to cause violence at meetings organised by Gachagua's Democracy for the Citizens Party (DCP).
The consultations have therefore provided Gachagua with an opportunity to broaden his political networks, gather views from communities outside his home region and engage potential allies ahead of the 2027 election
Murkomen also criticised the United Opposition and the Linda Mwananchi faction, accusing them of lacking a clear programme for governing the country.
Kindiki said senior leaders need to maintain strong working relationships with other politicians because those alliances can become important when facing political challenges.
