Kenya’s music and live performance scene is set for a bold transformation as Nyashinski reveals plans for Showman, a theatrical residency scheduled in Nairobi for April 2026.
The announcement, made on Friday, November 21, 2026, shows the artist taking his live productions to a new level, building on the foundation of his previous stage experience, Shin City, while introducing a residency format never attempted in the country before.
Described as a “uniquely choreographed and well-rehearsed stage performance,” Showman aims to give audiences a fully immersive experience. Nyashinski and his team promise a carefully planned show that combines music, theatre, and storytelling, designed to appeal to both loyal fans and newcomers.
The production will deliberately limit audience numbers to ensure each performance maintains an intimate and high-quality atmosphere.
The residency will take place over seven performances from April 4 to April 12, 2026.
The schedule is as follows: one show on Saturday, April 4; two shows on Sunday, April 5; a VIP show on Wednesday, April 8; one show on Saturday, April 11; and two shows on Sunday, April 12. This arrangement allows for maximum audience participation while preserving the exclusivity of the event.
Ticket sales began on Friday, November 21, 2026, with prices set according to availability. Weekend tickets start at Sh3,000, while the VIP experience is priced from Sh20,000. Tickets will be sold exclusively through Nyashinski’s official website.
In a statement, the artist emphasized that the residency is “more than just a concert,” promising a performance that will make audiences “laugh, dance, sing, marvel and make memories.”
The announcement positions Showman as a pioneering project in Kenya, combining stagecraft, choreography, and music in a format designed to deliver repeatable, high-quality experiences for attendees.
With this residency, Nyashinski aims to set a new standard for live entertainment in Kenya, demonstrating that stage performances can evolve into fully theatrical events. Showman promises to offer audiences not just music but a complete sensory journey that blends performance art with storytelling.
