National Sevens Circuit defending champions KCB RFC have signed utility back David Nyangige from Impala RFC as part of an eight-player recruitment drive ahead of the 2026 season.
Nyangige became a free agent at the end of last season following a contract dispute with the Ngong Road-based club and has now completed his move to the Thika Road outfit.
KCB head coach Andrew Amonde welcomed the signing, saying it strengthens the club's bid to retain the National Sevens Circuit title.
"We have brought in players who not only possess quality but also fit into the culture and playing philosophy of KCB Rugby. They provide depth in key positions and healthy competition within the squad, which is critical as we prepare for the National Sevens Circuit," said Amonde.
Amonde added that all the new signings were carefully selected to fit the club's playing philosophy.
Capable of playing at both scrum-half and fly-half, Nyangige was one of Impala's standout performers during last season's Sevens campaign. His impressive displays earned him a call-up to the Kenya Sevens national team.
He joins fellow free agents Timfox Esikuri, a lock, and utility back Salano Hillary.
KCB have also strengthened their squad with the signing of hooker Samson Mapesa from Kisii RFC, fly-half/full-back Benson Kihiti from Kenya Prisons, tight-head prop Collins Ngoko from MMUST, and versatile forward Innocent Indeche Murunda from Kisumu RFC.
