MPs back Bill to give NTSA powers to regulate matatu fares

The Bill, sponsored by Kimilili MP Didmus Barasa, seeks to end the wide discretion matatu operators have had over the years in determining transport charges. If enacted, NTSA will be mandated to validate and approve fares charged by PSVs and provide commuters with an official channel to report operators who impose excessive charges.
