Cardi B and Stefon Diggs celebrate arrival of baby boy

Cardi B has revealed the arrival of her newborn son, her first child with her partner Stefon Diggs, adding another major moment to a year already filled with personal change and creative work. The rapper shared the news on Instagram, celebrating both her latest album and the birth of her baby boy. In her post, she wrote: "I brought new music and a new album to the world! A new baby into my world, and one more reason to be the best version of me, one more reason to love me more than anything else or anyone else."

The birth comes shortly after the release of her second album, Am I The Drama?, which had been heavily anticipated by fans. While promoting the album last month, Cardi joked that people needed to buy it so she could keep up with nappy costs, hinting at the busy season ahead.

Even with the humour, she made it clear that she was working hard to balance her career with her growing family.

Her three older children are from her relationship with Offset, which she chose to end by filing for divorce in July 2024. The split brought attention to her personal life once again, but the rapper did not comment on those details in her baby announcement. Her team later confirmed to People magazine that she delivered a healthy baby boy and is “healthy and happy”.

Diggs, who has been dating Cardi for about a year, had already mentioned the baby’s sex earlier this month at a red-carpet event. Speaking to People, the New England Patriots wide receiver said, "It's a boy. That's enough for me. I can't wait to make him do push-ups and sit-ups and run around."

He is now a father of two, as he also shares a nine-year-old daughter from a previous relationship.

Cardi also uploaded a clip from her track Hello, hinting at a sense of renewal as she steps away from her past chapter.

Many believe this chapter refers to her rocky history with Offset, with whom she shares daughters Kulture and Blossom, and son Wave. She reminded her followers that her motivation to grow is rooted in motherhood, writing that being the best version of herself helps her "continue giving my babies the love and life they deserve".

She also spoke about the mindset guiding her next steps, calling her new phase a battle with herself. As she wrote, "This next chapter is Me vs. Me! It's me against all odds me against everything meant to get in my way."

Her message suggests she is ready to move with focus, both for her family and her music.

Along with caring for her newborn, Cardi said she has started preparing for a major tour to match the energy of her new album. She told her 163 million followers that she is working on her fitness and mental strength to deliver what she called the "performance of a lifetime".

She ended her note by expressing how far she has come, saying, "I've learned i've healed, and im loving the woman i've become! Thats what this next era means to me and i'm stepping into it better than ever."
