The Judicial Service Commission (JSC) has launched a fresh recruitment drive, inviting qualified Kenyans to apply for leadership positions in various tribunals alongside 201 internship opportunities for graduates and diploma holders in a move aimed at filling key roles across the justice sector.
In a public notice issued on Friday, the commission announced vacancies in several specialised tribunals that hear disputes in areas such as sports, cooperatives, capital markets, taxation, energy and petroleum, public-private partnerships, HIV and AIDS, financial reporting and national examinations.
The commission said applications are being submitted through its online jobs portal, where applicants can access detailed job descriptions, appointment requirements and instructions on how to apply. It added that all applications must be submitted by August 13, 2026, at 5 pm.
Among the positions advertised are one Chairperson of the Sports Disputes Tribunal, one Member of the Sports Disputes Tribunal (Non-Advocate), one Deputy Chairperson of the Co-operative Tribunal and one Member of the Co-operative Tribunal (Non-Advocate).
The commission is also recruiting one Chairperson of the Capital Markets Tribunal, one Member of the Capital Markets Tribunal (Non-Advocate), two Members of the Public Private Partnerships Petition Committee (Non-Advocate), one Member of the Energy and Petroleum Tribunal (Advocate) and one Member of the Energy and Petroleum Tribunal (Non-Advocate).
Other vacancies include one Member of the HIV and AIDS Tribunal (Medical Practitioner), two Members of the Financial Centre Tribunal (Advocate), one Member of the National Examinations Appeals Tribunal (Non-Advocate), four Members of the Tax Appeals Tribunal (Advocate) and two Members of the Tax Appeals Tribunal (Non-Advocate).
Besides the tribunal appointments, the commission has also advertised 201 internship positions for graduates and diploma holders, offering young professionals an opportunity to gain practical work experience within the Judiciary.
The JSC urged interested candidates to submit their applications through its recruitment portal, saying all the necessary information on the available positions has been provided.
"Interested and qualified persons are asked to visit our jobs portal for detailed job descriptions, requirements for appointment and instructions on how to apply."
The commission said applications received after the deadline of August 13, 2026, at 5 pm will not be considered and noted that only shortlisted and successful candidates will be contacted.
It also warned applicants against attempting to influence the recruitment process.
"Only shortlisted and successful candidates will be contacted. Canvassing in any form will lead to automatic disqualification."
The commission further said the exercise will be conducted fairly and on the basis of merit.

It also reminded applicants that no payment is required at any stage of the recruitment process.
