A Kenyan national has been taken into custody in Minnesota over allegations of felony property damage, according to booking records from the Hennepin County Sheriff's Office.

Julius Oyaro Nyamache was taken into custody by the Brooklyn Park Police Department on Sunday, July 26, 2026, at about 4:19 p.m., before being booked into the Hennepin County Jail following a police investigation.
The arrest has attracted attention among members of the Kenyan diaspora in the United States as they await further details on the case and its progress through the legal system.
According to Hennepin County Jail booking records, Nyamache faces three misdemeanor charges, including two counts related to domestic assault and one count of disorderly conduct.
