I don't borrow money to fund my lifestyle, says Azziad

Radio host and content creator Azziad Nasenya has dismissed claims that she is sinking in debt to maintain her public image.

Radio host and content creator Azziad Nasenya has dismissed claims that she is sinking in debt to maintain her public image.

Speaking on Tuesday during her show, The Habari Shuffle, on Sound City Radio, Azziad clarified that she does not rely on borrowed money to fund her lifestyle.

The conversation was triggered by an online question from a Kenyan asking whether she had cleared her debts. Addressing the matter, she said social media is full of fabricated narratives, likening it to a "giant movie set where everyone can be a scriptwriter."

“I don’t borrow to fund my lifestyle because I don’t need to. What you forget is that this did not start today; I have been building, working, and investing in myself for years,” she stated in a video shared on her Instagram stories.

Azziad emphasized that her current success is the result of years of hard work, sacrifice, and strategic investment in her brand. She dismissed the notion that she took loans to create a glamorous image, saying such claims are merely a trending topic.

“This idea that I took loans to fund my glamorous image is just that—a storyline, a trending topic for a few days. What does not trend is my hard work, consistency, and my brand,” she said.

On the issue of debts, she acknowledged having financial obligations but stated that she is addressing them directly with the concerned parties.

She criticized social media speculation, stating that real responsibility is demonstrated through actions, not online debates.

“Regarding payment of debts, what I can say is that I am handling this matter directly with the people involved. Real responsibility does not happen in comment sections; it happens in actions,” she said.

Azziad also made it clear that online opinions would not influence her financial decisions or how she manages her business. She expressed confidence in her ability to navigate challenges and remain focused on her goals.

“For anyone wondering where I stand, I stand in my truth, in growth, in action, and not noise. Trust me, this is just another shuffle.

I move forward, I step up, and I've learned the lesson because, at the end of the day, the reflex is handling your business in silence and letting actions speak louder than any headline, and that is exactly what I am doing,” she stated.

Encouraging young Kenyans, especially women, she urged them to remain steadfast in their efforts despite criticism.

She advised them not to let gossip overshadow their achievements, emphasizing that hard work ultimately speaks for itself.

“If you have ever felt misunderstood or ever had your hard work questioned, just know that your truth is not up for debate. Let people talk and let them speculate, and at the end of the day, your work will always outlive the gossip,” she said.
