Emurua Dikirr MP Johana Ng’eno lost his life on Saturday evening when a helicopter carrying him and his aides went down in Chepkiep, Mosop Constituency, Nandi County.
The aircraft reportedly attempted an emergency landing before catching fire, killing all six people on board.
Authorities say emergency response teams are still at the scene as investigations into the cause of the crash get underway. Police plan to move the bodies to Moi Teaching and Referral Hospital morgue in the coming hours.

Several political leaders, including Senator Samson Cherargei and Tinderet MP Julius Melly, visited the crash site, accompanied by officers from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations.
