The newly elected Motorsport Kenya Federation (MKF) has announced a full waiver of entry fees for Round 1 of the 2026 Kenya National Rally Championship (KNRC), scheduled for July 31 to August 1 at Stoni Athi.
MKF President Altaf Ganatra confirmed the move, saying the decision was aimed at encouraging strong participation as the federation begins its new term and officially launches its administration.
"To celebrate this historic milestone, I am delighted to announce that MKF will waive all entry fees for Round 1 of the Kenya National Rally Championship, scheduled for 31 July and 1 August 2026," Ganatra said.
"We hope this gesture encourages strong participation as we begin this exciting new chapter for motorsport in Kenya together," he added.
Celebrating the federation’s official launch, Ganatra thanked those who contributed to its formation.
"We got there! MKF is officially launched and elected, and somehow, we're all still on speaking terms! A massive thank you to everyone here. You know exactly what you put in to make this happen. We couldn't have done it without every one of you," he said.
The new federation will now focus on establishing structures to govern the sport, with the entry fee waiver expected to attract a strong field of competitors for the opening KNRC round under the new administration.
