Erling Haaland receives four Guinness World Records certificates

Erling Haaland's record-breaking goalscoring career has earned another major recognition after the Manchester City forward was presented with four Guinness World Records certificates at the Etihad Stadium.

The 26-year-old Norway international received the honours ahead of the new Premier League season, with the awards covering his performances in the Premier League, UEFA Nations League and UEFA Champions League.

The latest recognition adds to a long list of achievements Haaland has collected since moving to Manchester City from Borussia Dortmund at the beginning of the 2022/23 campaign.

Guinness World Records announced the presentation on Instagram, saying Haaland was presented with certificates for some of the biggest highlights of his career.

"With the new season about to kick off, multiple record holder Erling Haaland has been presented with certificates recognising his extraordinary football career highlights so far," Guinness World Records said in a post on Instagram.

Among the honours is Haaland's record for reaching 100 Premier League goals in the shortest number of matches.

The striker needed only 111 appearances to reach the landmark, scoring his 100th goal against Fulham on December 2, 2025.

Haaland had already set a Premier League record during his first season in England after scoring 36 goals in the 2022/23 campaign.

That total remains the highest number of goals scored by a player in an English Premier League season played across 38 matches, earning him another Guinness World Records title.

His achievements with Norway have also earned him a place in the record books.

Haaland has found the net 19 times in the UEFA Nations League, making him the competition's top scorer. The goals recognised by Guinness World Records were scored between September 4, 2020, and November 17, 2024.

The final certificate celebrates his five-goal display against RB Leipzig in the UEFA Champions League on March 14, 2023.

Haaland became just the third player to score five goals in a Champions League match, joining Lionel Messi and Luiz Adriano in reaching the mark.

Guinness World Records said the four achievements form part of Haaland's expanding collection of football records as he prepares to begin another season with Manchester City.

The Norwegian will also feature on the cover of Guinness World Records Football Edition 2027, which is scheduled to be released on October 8.

The latest honours further add to Haaland's growing record collection, with the striker set to continue leading Manchester City's attack into the new campaign.
