Most parts of Kenya are expected to experience dry and sunny weather from November 11 to 17, 2025, according to the latest forecast by the Kenya Meteorological Department.
Despite the widespread sunshine, rainfall is likely in certain regions, including the Highlands, Rift Valley, Lake Victoria Basin, Coast, South-eastern lowlands, and North-eastern areas.
Daytime temperatures are predicted to rise above 30°C along the Coast, in North-eastern and North-western Kenya, and in parts of the South-eastern lowlands and Highlands west of the Rift Valley.
Night temperatures, however, will drop in some highland regions east of the Rift Valley, the Central Rift Valley, and around Mt. Kilimanjaro, with averages falling below 10°C.
Residents in the Highlands west of the Rift Valley, the Lake Victoria Basin, and Rift Valley counties such as Nandi, Kakamega, Bungoma, Siaya, Nakuru, Uasin Gishu, Kisii, Kericho, Kisumu, Homa Bay, and Narok can expect sunny mornings followed by isolated afternoon showers and thunderstorms in some areas.
Nights will generally be partly cloudy, with occasional rainfall in certain places. In North-western Kenya, including Turkana and Samburu, days will have sunny intervals while nights will remain partly cloudy.
In the Highlands east of the Rift Valley, which covers Nyandarua, Laikipia, Nyeri, Kirinyaga, Murang’a, Kiambu, Meru, Embu, Tharaka-Nithi, and Nairobi, mornings are expected to be cloudy with occasional rain in some areas, giving way to sunny intervals during the day.
Afternoon and night showers may also occur in scattered places. North-eastern Kenya, including Marsabit, Mandera, Wajir, Garissa, and Isiolo, will generally enjoy sunny periods during the day, though morning rain and occasional afternoon or night showers are possible.
The South-eastern lowlands, covering Machakos, Kitui, Makueni, Kajiado, Taita-Taveta, and inland parts of Tana-River, are likely to experience morning rain and scattered showers in the afternoon and at night.
Along the Coast, including Mombasa, Kilifi, Lamu, Kwale, and coastal Tana-River, sunny intervals will dominate the day, while nights will be partly cloudy, with a chance of morning and afternoon showers in isolated areas.
Overall, while most of the country will enjoy warm, dry, and sunny conditions, residents in the Highlands, Rift Valley, coastal counties, and lowland regions should prepare for occasional rainfall during the week.
