Kenya's men’s volleyball clubs—Kenya Ports Authority (KPA), Equity Bank, and General Service Unit (GSU)—have been confirmed for the upcoming 47th edition of the Confederation of African Volleyball (CAVB) Men’s Club Championship, set to take place in Kigali from April 20 to May 3, 2026.
Raphaël Ngarambe, president of the Rwandan Volleyball Federation (FRVB), and Bouchra Hajij, president of the African Volleyball Confederation (CAVB), signed an agreement last Thursday, March 5, 2026, confirming that Rwanda will host the continental event.
Kenya will be represented by national volleyball defending champions GSU, currently 12th on the national log with six points; table leaders KPA, with 22 points; and fifth-placed Equity Bank, who have amassed 12 points.
With the third leg of the National League scheduled for March 12–15, 2026, at the Moi International Sports Centre, Kasarani Indoor Arena, the three clubs will get a chance to familiarize themselves with the Video Challenge System, which will be introduced for the first time at the CAVB Men’s Club Championship, a system not yet available in Kenya.
The system allows teams to contest referee decisions using high-definition, multi-camera replays to ensure accuracy. Each team typically has two unsuccessful challenges per set, which can be used to question actions such as ball-in/out, net touches, foot faults, or line violations immediately after a rally.
