KUCCPS opens applications for 13 hospitality courses at Kenya Utalii College

According to the placement agency, the move follows a collaboration with the training institution aimed at widening access to professional courses in hospitality and tourism, which are widely recognised across the globe.

Students who sat the 2025 Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) examination can now apply for hospitality and tourism courses after the Kenya Universities and Colleges Central Placement Service (KUCCPS) opened applications for 13 programmes offered in partnership with the Kenya Utalii College.


In a statement issued on Friday, March 13, KUCCPS said the application window targets diploma and certificate programmes at Kenya Utalii College, with interested candidates required to submit their applications through the KUCCPS portal before April 1.


According to the placement agency, the move follows a collaboration with the training institution aimed at widening access to professional courses in hospitality and tourism, which are widely recognised across the globe.


"KUCCPS has opened its online application system for 13 diploma and certificate courses offered at KUC, marking a major milestone towards enhancing equitable, fair and efficient access to the world-respected hospitality and tourism training institution," the statement read in part.


Among the diploma programmes available are Hospitality Management, Culinary Arts, Front Office Operations, Food and Beverage Management, Housekeeping and Laundry Management, Travel and Tourism Management, and Tour Guiding and Administration.


Applicants can also select from several certificate programmes offered by the college. These include Certificate in Front Office Operations, Certificate in Pastry and Bakery, Certificate in Housekeeping and Laundry Operations, Certificate in Food and Beverage Service and Sales, Certificate in Travel and Tour Operations, and Certificate in Tour Guiding and Administration.


KUCCPS explained that the partnership with Kenya Utalii College is intended to improve access to specialised training opportunities in the hospitality and tourism sector, which continues to attract learners from across the country and beyond.


Chief Executive Officer Agnes Wahome assured prospective applicants that the KUCCPS placement system guarantees fairness and merit when allocating opportunities for higher education and training.


She said the system also helps institutions draw students from all regions of the country, promoting equal access to training opportunities.


How to Apply


Students interested in the programmes can submit their applications through the KUCCPS portal at students.kuccps.ac.ke.


Those who require help with the application process can visit KUCCPS offices located at ACK Garden House along 1st Ngong Avenue in Community Area, Nairobi.


Applicants can also seek support at Kenya Utalii College or visit any of the 58 Huduma Centres spread across the country for assistance with their applications.
