Kenya and Malaysia have formalized several agreements aimed at deepening bilateral cooperation and fostering stronger economic, tourism, and urban partnerships.

Bilateral Air Services Agreement – Designed to expand air connectivity, this agreement will facilitate easier travel between the two countries, while boosting trade and tourism.

Memorandum of Understanding on Tourism Cooperation – This MoU aims to strengthen two-way tourism flows, promote investment, and enhance joint marketing of Kenya and Malaysia as premier travel destinations.

Letter of Intent on the Twinning of Nairobi and Kuala Lumpur – The twinning initiative seeks to enhance city-level collaboration in areas such as urban planning, technology, and service delivery.

MoU between the Kenya National Chamber of Commerce & Industry and the National Chamber of Commerce & Industry of Malaysia – This agreement will deepen private-sector partnerships, creating new business opportunities and fostering trade between the two nations.

 

 

The signing of the MoUs was witnessed by Kenyan Cabinet Secretaries Rebecca Miano (Tourism), Musalia Mudavadi (Foreign Affairs), Salim Mvurya (Sports), alongside their Malaysian counterparts on November 24, 2025, at State House, Nairobi.
