Tanga back as Shujaa prepares for Hong Kong

Kabras Sugar Rugby Football Club's scrum half, Brian Tanga, has been named by Kenya Rugby 7s side, Shujaa, head coach Kelvin Wambua, and is the only change that has been confirmed, replacing Chrisant Ojwang, for the HSBC Sevens World Championship Hong Kong Sevens, slated for April 17–19, 2026, at Kai Tak Sports Park.

With the inclusion of Tanga, those who have kept their positions are George Ooro, Kevin Wekesa, Vincent Onyala, Denis Abukuse, John Okoth, Samuel Asati, Nygel Amaitsa, David Nyangige, Festus Shiasi, Patrick Odongo, Gabriel Ayimba and Floyd Wabwire.

Shujaa have been drawn in a tough Pool C where they will face Australia, New Zealand and the United States in the opening leg of the HSBC SVNS World Championship.
