In Summary

On Saturday at the same venue, Shujaa booked their place in the main cup quarterfinals after beating USA 17-10 in their final pool game, their first win at the tournament, earning important three points.

Kenya's men's national rugby 7s team, Shujaa, will be seeking to bounce back on Sunday against France in the HSBC Sevens Series Hong Kong Sevens 7th playoffs at 7:51 am (on Sunday) at the Kai Tak Sports Park in Kowloon, following their defeat to South Africa in the Cup quarter-finals, with a top-five finish still within reach.

On Saturday at the same venue, Shujaa booked their place in the main cup quarterfinals after beating USA 17-10 in their final pool game, their first win at the tournament, earning important three points which were enough to see them progress to the quarterfinals as the second-best third-placed team, a feat that was achieved after the efforts of Try Scorers John Okoth, Dennis Abukuse and Nygel Amaitsa.

Later in the day, South Africa pulled a comeback in the quarter finals to knock out Kenya Sevens in the HSBC Sevens Series Hong Kong Sevens, with Full-time Scores standing at 26-22, John Okoth, Dennis Abukuse, Kevin Wekesa, and Festus Shiasi being Kenya's try scorers.

On Sunday, the Kevin Wambua guided side will now attempt to cling to hopes as they take on France for the 7th playoffs position, a dismal performance as per what was expected by the many cheering fans back in Kenya.
