Another person died after coming into contact with electricity during the floods.
The deaths came as the storm left many neighbourhoods submerged, with residents struggling to move around the city as water covered streets and homes.
By Saturday morning, the effects of the rain were visible across Nairobi, with flooded roads making it difficult for motorists to pass and leaving many vehicles stranded.
Several estates experienced flooding after drainage systems overflowed, forcing residents to wade through water as they tried to assess the damage and resume normal activities. In some areas, vehicles were stuck along major roads while traffic slowed down due to the rising water levels.
