In a public notice issued on Thursday, the Ministry urged members of the public to send the names and addresses of at-risk Kenyans, both in neighboring and faraway countries, through official communication channels to help facilitate timely assistance.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has appealed to Kenyans to help identify and protect fellow citizens who may be in danger while living or working abroad.

In a public notice issued on Thursday, the Ministry urged members of the public to send the names and addresses of at-risk Kenyans, both in neighboring and faraway countries, through official communication channels to help facilitate timely assistance.

“The Ministry has heard your concerns and requests the following from all of us, that you share through our inbox the names and addresses of all Kenyans who may be exposed to any sort of danger in our neighbouring countries and faraway countries,” the statement read.

Kenyans have been urged to provide names, locations, and, where possible, contact information for a relative or next of kin who can help the Ministry and Kenya’s missions abroad in coordinating support.

“If possible, please include the name and contact information for a relative with whom the Ministry @Diaspora_KE and Kenya Missions abroad @Kenyahc_tz can work,” the Ministry said.

According to officials, all information received will be verified and shared immediately with Kenya’s embassies and high commissions across the world to enable swift action where necessary.

The Ministry also reminded Kenyans living overseas to register their details at the nearest Kenyan Mission, a requirement clearly indicated on page 32 of the national passport.

Registration, the statement noted, is vital in helping the government trace and assist citizens during emergencies such as political unrest, natural disasters, or other crises.

“It is important to reiterate that as Kenyans we are all required at the earliest opportunity to register ourselves and addresses at the nearest Kenya Mission abroad,” the Ministry emphasized.

The appeal comes amid heightened global concerns about the security and welfare of Kenyan nationals in volatile regions.

By maintaining up-to-date information on citizens abroad, the Ministry hopes to enhance its ability to coordinate rescue, evacuation, or consular support when needed.

“Let us all work together to secure the best interests of our brothers and sisters wherever they may be,” the notice urged.

The Ministry assured that its communication channels remain open and that those who share verified information will receive feedback.

“The Ministry will provide feedback to those who share the necessary information. This account remains accessible,” the notice read in part.
