The Supreme Council of Kenya Muslims (SUPKEM) signed a landmark three-year Executive Program for Cooperation in Islamic Affairs with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia on Wednesday.

It aims to strengthen religious cooperation, enhance Islamic education, and promote moderation within the Muslim community.

The agreement was signed on behalf of SUPKEM by its National Chairman, Hassan Ole Nado, alongside Dr. Abdullatif bin Abdulaziz Al-Sheikh, Minister of Islamic Affairs, Dawah and Guidance of Saudi Arabia.

The partnership is designed to foster authentic Da’wah, enhance the capacity of religious leaders and institutions in Kenya, and combat extremism.

Chairman Ole Nado expressed deep gratitude to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for its continued support of the Kenyan Muslim community.

“We sincerely thank His Majesty King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz. We pray that this partnership will benefit citizens of both nations and strengthen the Muslim community at large,” he said.

The ceremony was also attended by Amb. Aden Muhamud, Consul General of the Republic of Kenya in Jeddah, and Sheikh (Dr) Aden Yunis Ibrahim, SUPKEM Regional Coordinator.

The collaboration aims to foster educational development, religious moderation, and strategic partnerships between Kenyan and Saudi religious institutions.
