The Assembly will present its case first, followed by the governor’s defence, before a final vote on Thursday December 3, 2025.

The Senate on Wednesday began impeachment hearings for Nyamira Governor Amos Nyaribo, with senators sitting as a trial court to decide his political fate.

The County Assembly accuses the governor of gross violation of the Constitution, including illegal assent to a budget, unlawful appointments, ignoring court orders, and failing to deliver the County Address as well as abuse of office.

The Assembly will present its case first, followed by the governor’s defence, before a final vote on Thursday, December 4, 2025.
