The Jubilee Party has nominated Bina Mohamed Tupi as its candidate for the upcoming Isiolo South Constituency by-election slated for February 26, setting the stage for a closely watched political contest in the region.

In a statement issued on Thursday, the party confirmed that it had formally issued a nomination certificate, endorsing her as its official flag bearer.

Jubilee said the decision reflects both continuity and renewal in its political engagement with the people of Isiolo South.

The party highlighted Tubi’s political background, noting that she carries forward a legacy associated with her late father, who previously served as the Member of Parliament for Isiolo South.

According to the statement, her father was a committed Jubilee Party member whose tenure in office was marked by loyalty to the party and service to the electorate.

“Hon. Bina Tubi carries forward a proud political legacy,” Jubilee said, adding that her late father “served both the party and the people with commitment, dignity, and clarity of purpose.”

The party stated that it continues to honour his contribution and expressed gratitude for the longstanding relationship it has shared with residents of the constituency.

Jubilee described its ties with Isiolo South as being grounded in mutual respect, inclusive politics and a focus on development.

The party said it intends to preserve that foundation while presenting leadership that responds to contemporary needs and future aspirations.

“Our relationship with Isiolo South is rooted in mutual respect, development-focused leadership, and inclusive politics,” the statement read.

Jubilee added that it remains committed to safeguarding the gains made over the years while advancing renewed, people-centred leadership that speaks to the present and the future.

As campaigns gather momentum ahead of the February by-election, Jubilee expressed confidence that its message would resonate with voters.

The party said it believes the electorate will once again opt for leadership anchored on shared values and ethical governance.

“As the by-election approaches, Jubilee is confident that the people of Isiolo South will once again choose principled leadership, unity, and integrity,” the statement said.

The Isiolo South by-election follows the vacancy of the parliamentary seat, with several parties expected to field candidates in what is anticipated to be a competitive race.

Jubilee’s early endorsement of Tubi positions her as one of the key contenders as the campaign period begins in earnest.

Bina will face her brother, Tubi Mohammed who is the ruling, United Democratic Alliance (UDA) candidate in the by-election.
