Upcoming rally driver Rajveer Thethy, son of rally ace Charan Thethy, will be navigated by veteran Laban-Cliff Onserio in the upcoming WRC Safari Rally, scheduled for Naivasha from March 12-15, 2026.
Speaking on Friday in Nairobi, veteran navigator Cliff Onserio, known for his expertise and experience, praised Thethy’s talent.
"It's a pleasure partnering with the talented Rajveer Thethy, son of rally ace Charan Thethy. You can tell this runs in the family," he said.
The two have been preparing hard ahead of Friday’s team unveiling and are confident of a strong performance in their first-ever partnership.
"We have had good shakedowns and are confident of a good result," Cliff said.
The duo is also grateful for Charan Thethy’s input, with Cliff praising his work on the car clearance setup. He insisted that the setup is solid and that the outcome will now depend on the road conditions during the recce.
The Safari Rally takes place from March 12-15. With Cliff’s guidance and Thethy’s talent, the duo is ready to take on the challenge and aims for a successful campaign while flying the Shell colors under the Shell Helix and Shell V-Power brands.
